Danielle Goldich (Brazil), Specialist Business Manager, Eli Lilly, Corporate MBA Programme, Manchester Business School, UK
“My main goals were career acceleration in a new market and exploring different industries. I have successfully achieved these objectives. I transitioned from the FMCG industry to healthcare, which is a completely different sector. I identified transferable skills from my previous experience and aligned my values with those of my new company.
Networking was also instrumental in facilitating this career move. I did the triple jump. It required significant effort and a strong sense of cultural awareness. I am now part of a programme that allows me to explore various functions in preparation for a future leadership role. The MBA helped me recognise my abilities, increase my confidence and develop a strategic mindset to adapt to diverse roles and situations.”
“I was fortunate to have two internship experiences, as my visa status allowed me to do so (I didn’t hold a student visa): Eli Lilly – My current company, and I was based in Basingstoke, UK. Lilly conducted a presentation on campus, where I networked with their team, and I also connected with alumni and MBA students from different schools.
I joined the marketing team and worked on a launch preparedness project for a new product indication. My responsibilities included market analysis, forecasting, sizing the market, and understanding patient pathways. Infosys – Based in Bangalore, India. Infosys also hosted a presentation for AMBS students.
I connected with alumni and leveraged my network to gain insights into the company and its internship programme.
My project was with the global alliance team, where I led a data analysis of business deals and made recommendations to improve processes for securing successful deals.
Living and working in India was a fantastic experience.”
